[it's my 'city-glam selfie' meant to be humorous, not serious.....behind my shop...looks like ghetto, but I disagree, very reputable area! One of Toronto's finest fish markets is just 'three-fedora-throws' away!]
Karol Kosnik – the creative force behind the firm – is a graduate of Sheridan College's Craft and Design program. While at school he was recognized as a leader in his program with the 'Friends of the Furniture Studio' award and the prestigious Nienkamper Scholarship. His apprenticeship experience includes upholstering the base for the first ever [!!!] Kloud Chair by Karim Rashid - and learning his finishing/lacquering chops from an old Iraqi woodworker whom built a stool for Saddam Hussein.
Studio Kosnik has been in the business of woodworking since 1999 – started with wood flooring; followed by millwork and fine cabinetry; lastly furniture – hey! we've got great references! People like us!
Occasionally we do work pro bono!
